In a vibrant and collaborative atmosphere, the Al-Binaa Institute for Islamic Studies in Indonesia hosted today, Monday, 11 August 2025 (17 Safar 1447 AH), the opening ceremony of the Language Immersion Program, attended by distinguished academic and educational figures from Indonesia and abroad.
Key participants included:
- Prof. Dr. Bianto – Advisor at the Indonesian Ministry of Education
- Sheikh Aslam Mohsen Abidin – Director General of Al-Binaa Institute for Islamic Studies
- Dr. Mutwakil Al-Fadni – CEO of MS Asia for Educational Services and Human Development in Malaysia, and General Supervisor of Global Language Village
- Dr. Anas Hossam Al-Naimee – Representative of ICESCO, Morocco
The program aims to create a fully immersive environment where learners live the Arabic language in every aspect of their daily lives through direct interaction, cultural activities, and educational as well as recreational programs, transforming Arabic from a subject of study into a lived experience.
MS Asia and Global Language Village bring their extensive experience from successful initiatives in Zanzibar, Uganda, Kenya, and Burundi, ensuring effective and rapid language acquisition while deepening knowledge of Arab and Islamic culture.
The project will benefit 90 students from Indonesia, Malaysia, and Cambodia through direct immersion programs, in addition to 100 teachers from over 20 educational institutions who will undergo specialized training in teaching Arabic as a foreign language.
Expected outcomes include:
- Rapid improvement of participants’ Arabic proficiency
- Preparing qualified teachers equipped with modern teaching methodologies
- Strengthening cultural and civilizational ties among nations through the Arabic language
The ceremony concluded with MS Asia distributing training kits to program participants.
